2011 -Sarı Tohumculuk was established.

Shared ideas and opinions between Osman Sarı, who has worked in various industries ranging from buying and selling cereals and grains, feed raw materials in the agricultural industry to various activities in the flour and oil industries from 1979 up to that time and İbrahim Toruk who stepped in the seed industry in 1992 triggered the first step in laying the foundations of the company.

2012-The production of the hybrid sunflower seed “Duna” started.

Our company preferred to grow and have its own varieties carving out a different path for itself. Our company acquired the rights of the hybrid sunflower seed trademark DUNA co-developed by TrakyaBirlikTohum A.Ş. and Thrace Agricultural Research Institute ( in Turkish:TrakyaTarımsalAraştırmaEnstitüsü) based on a project designed and developed by TÜBİTAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) and started its production as our first hybrid variety of sunflower seed. Afterwards, our company has applied for the registration of the trademarks in Russia for the varieties co-developed with the collaboration of the Thrace Agricultural Research Institute and our company.

2013-Our two-row barley variety SEYMEN has been authorized for production.

From the very first day of its establishment our company has placed a special emphasis on breeding activities. As a result of the breeding activities carried out in collaboration with the Thrace Agricultural Research Institute, one of the successful R&D organizations in Turkey, we applied for authorization of production of each two varieties of wheat and barley seeds produced in the breeding garden. All of the four varieties for which an application were made were accepted for registration trials, and consequently two-rowbarley variety Seymen, six-row barley variety Güzelce and bread wheat (triticum aestivium) variety, respectively have been authorized for production.

2015-Our two-row barley variety SEYMEN and bread wheat variety SARI MUSTAFA, respectively have been registered.

As a result of the record yield obtained for our two-row barley variety, it has been accepted for registration at the respective committee meeting by unanimity of votes. Our bread wheat variety SARI MUSTAFA has been registered at the same committee meeting due to its characteristic features such as being 100% resistant to yellow rust (pucciniastriiformis) of wheat which is the most commonly spread disease in our country and with its high yield potential. Thereupon, we have become the 4th company that has its own varieties in the group of cereals in our country.

2017-Our R&D and Production facilities were established.

The year 2017 has been a progressive year for our company. Our company has put an investment plan on its agenda as a result of the widespread acceptance of these varieties by producers which in return lead to an increase in our market share. In 2017, our company established cereal processing and cleaning facilities equipped with the state- of -art technology and machinery. Our company was awarded with the certificate of registration of “Private Sector Agricultural Research Institution” by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Agriculture Our two hybrid sunflower varieties DUNA and VOLGA CL, respectively have been registered in the Russia Federation whereupon, our company has become the 3rd Turkish company which has registered varieties in the group of cereals in Russia.

2018-Our six-row barley variety İSKENDER has been registered.

Our six-row barley variety İskender with high yield potential that wasproduced as a result of our ongoing breeding activities has been registered by the agricultural research committee. In the meantime, in collaboration with the Thrace Agricultural Institution we started a breeding project for development of hybrid sunflower seeds.

Our 2020 national hybrid sunflower variety TR2242CL and bread wheat variety BAŞKAN received production permits.

Our national hybrid sunflower TR2242CL variety, which is the product of the 2007/1 project we have done with the Thrace Agricultural Research Institute (TTAE), affiliated to the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies (TAGEM), and our high quality and productive bread wheat BAŞKAN variety, which we developed from the breeding garden of our company, obtained the seed production permit. It was accepted to the registration trials by the Registration Certification Central Directorate (TTSM).
